Father Hieroschimonk Teofan Munteanu (born Evloghie, in Buzau County) and a graduate of a military school, is one of the young Romanian spiritual Fathers. After spending time at the Vatopedu Monastery in Mount Athos he moved to the monastery of Crasna – Prahova (Romania); afterwards, in the footsteps of Saint Paisios Velicikovski, he put great effort to restore spirituality and order in the life of the people, which was altered due to the ignorance of the Fathers' teachings. He is now the spiritual father of the Nera Monastery, Caras-Severin County (the birthplace of Dr Pavel Chirila).
