He is a Romanian sociologist of religion and a publicist. Fields of expertise: Politics of the Memory, Orthodox Church and Society, Religion and Modernity. He is a Doctor of European Studies at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, with the thesis: Les intellectuels et l'Eglise dans les années trente: le cas de l'Eglise orthodoxe roumaine (supervisor): Prof. Georges Nivat, 2004). He also has a Master from the Institut Européen de l'Université de Genève (1999). He has a Degree in Electronics from Dunarea de Jos University, Galati (1995). Currently, he is a researcher at the Institute of Religious History (Romanian Academy).
