  4. In 1938 he moved to Bucharest, where he graduated in 1961 from the "Carol Davila" Medical School after having studied at "Mihai Viteazul" college. After his compulsory internship in rural areas, he specialized in Internal Medicine and worked at the Tulcea County Hospital from 1970 until 1997, when he retired. In 1978 he obtained his second specialty in "Metabolism Diseases, Nutrition Diseases, Sugar Diabetes", founded and started to run the County Antidiabetic Center. In 1980 he became a primary physician, and in 1983, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Chief of the Medical Section at the County Hospital of Tulcea. In 1990 he set up the first medical practice in the county. In 1975 he initiated the first specialty magazine in Dobrogea: "Tulcea Medicala". He published a few essays in the "Steaua Dobrogei" magazine. In 1998 he published the volume "Manole of the Cross" (Curtea Veche ed.). 2001 and 2002, he received the first prize at the National Spiritual-Christian Inspirational Contest "The Spring of Healing", for the essay titled "The Cross of Freedom" (2001) and the book "Master Manole of the Cross" (2002). In 2003 he published the volume of essays "Theo-anthropology of the Cross - introduction" (Morel ed., Bucharest). Together with his son, Dr. Cristian Harghel, he co-authored the volumes "The Strategy of Efficiency in Medicine" (VOX Publishing House, Bucharest, 2010), and “The Medicine of Love”.(Andreas Ed., 2017). Since 2000 he has been a member of the literary theological Circle "Euxin".
