Alexei V. Nesteruk is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Portsmouth and also o Visiting Professor of St. Andrew’s Biblical Theological College, in Moscow. He graduated from the Department of Physics of St. Petersburg State University (MSc) in 1980, and went on to acquire a PhD in theoretical and mathematical physics from the same university in 1983. He also studied philosophy from 1987-1990 and. Theology at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies (1999-2001). His writing and research interests concern Philosophy of Science and Science and Theology, with his current work focusing towards Neo-Patristic Synthesis of Science and Theology and the Phenomenology of Cosmology. He is one of the foremost experts in the dialogue between Orthodox Christianity and Modern Science and has written more than 80 articles and three monographs
