Reverant Dr. Doru Costache is a Protopresbyter of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, elevated by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos and a Senior Lecturer in Patristic Studies at St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College in Sydney. He received his Diploma in Theology from the University of Bucharest in 1993 and PhD in Theology from the same University in 2000, after the public defense of a thesis on St Maximus the Confessor and the anthropic cosmological principle. His research interests include Patristic articulations of the Christian worldview, Patristic interpretations of Genesis, experiences of holiness, Early Christian cosmology and saintly cosmologists in the Alexandrian and Cappadocian traditions. He has edited two books and he has written over twenty articles in peer-reviewed journals.
