The author raises the following questions in his book: "Is Orthodoxy worse than Protestantism? Is it true that Orthodoxy holds the tradition only by inertia and does not recognize its life and practice?" In this book, in fact, there is no criticism of Protestantism or Orthodoxy, while there is apology and explanation of Orthodoxy with its conception and practice by means of scientific Orthodox thought.
That is how Dean Andrey Kuraev characterizes Protestants whom he wants to tell about Orthodoxy: "By “Protestants” in this book I do not mean the heirs of the Reformation: German Lutherans, Calvinists or Anglicans. We are talking about much more recent neo-Protestant formations which have as a rule appeared in America and later arrived in Russia: those are Baptists, Adventists, Pentecostals and various charismatic ("New-Pentecostal") groups, “Church of Christ”, as well as multiple “simple Christians” (in fact, the Baptists and charismatics, hiding their religious affiliation in order to make it easier to attract people who tend to Orthodoxy)."
