The author compares Theosophy and Christianity. According to the author, the difference is in philosophy: pantheistic and personalistic. Christianity believes that God is Person, Theosophy says it is unacceptable. Kuraev considers the pantheists’ polemic with Christian theology not to be noble "struggle with idols" or "ignorance". It is a struggle with all the human and humane which is in religious life – an orphan’s desire to find the Father (as "The Mahatma Letters" assure, "humankind is the great Orphan").
Christianity recognizes the human right to say "You" to God, writes the author. Pantheism does not need a dialogue of love with God; the only need is to know how to consume "the World Energy." Christianity, knowing that a person feels the need to be grateful to someone recognizes the human right to thanksgiving prayer. Pantheism advises to a man admiring the sunset sea to "quickly open his chakras and absorb a selected portion of pranha," the author writes.
Why Christian theologians insist God to be considered a Person? In order for man to stay a man, believes Kuraev.
