   1. Georgios Mantzaridis was born in Thessaloniki in 1935. He has been professor of Christian Ethics and Sociology in the School of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At the moment, he is emeritus professor in the same School and emeritus professor of the School of Theology of the University of Bucharest. He is also memeber of the Synodal Committee for Bioethics of the Church of Greece. He has written more than 150 articles and 20 books in Greek. 14 of his books have been translated in other languages.
