Leonidas Bargeliotes studied theology and Greek and English literature at the University of Athens. He pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, where he presented a master title under the title Plotinus: On the Importance of Aesthetics in Philosophy, and at the University Emory, where he defended his doctoral dissertation titled Pletho's Philosophy of Ethics. He has authored many books and articles on philosophical questions. He is the editor of the philosophical journal Skepsis and the founder of the International Center of Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Research, which was later developed into the Olympic Center for Philosophy and Culture.
