    1. On the basis of the conducted research, the author сomes to the conclusion that in Russia the process of secularization has its own specific character - the cyclical nature of secularization. The process of changing a religious worldview associated with secularization does not mean a transition from historical religion to religious indifference or atheism. This process is complex, cyclical, non-linear. This is not an irreversible process.

From the point of view of the author, in the medium term, the level of religiosity and the indicators of confessional identity will not change significantly. The majority of the population will identify themselves with Orthodoxy. The proportion of believers will grow slightly, and can lock in at 60%. A certain part of the society will be church-members. At the same time, non-church pluralistic religiosity will spread, especially among young people, but it is unlikely that this phenomenon will take on a massive scale. In general, the influence of Orthodoxy will remain and will be decisive, thinks the author. For ethnic groups traditionally belonging to the sphere of influence of Islam, the predominance of Muslim identity will be typical. The proportion of Muslims will grow, due to the demographic characteristics of ethnic groups practicing Islam.
