    1. At the present stage, the Russian Orthodox Church has received new opportunities for the realization of its own initiatives. Practically all of them are more or less in contact with missionary activity, as with the main form of external church activity. It is within the framework of the mission that the Church can offer (and offers) political, economic and philosophical models, combining human and cultural factors with the strength of the traditions held within the Church. It is through the Orthodox spiritual mission that the Church (and Russia with it) can offer the world a new system of interaction between nations and civilizations - a system based on the decent representation of all peoples in the world’s power structures, on the harmonious coexistence of faith and worldviews and on more equitable economic relations.

      In this research an attempt was made to analyze the evolution of missionary activity (which seemed necessary to prove) of the Russian Orthodox Church under the influence of global modernization processes, taking into account the interaction of Russian Orthodox Church with the Russian state in the international arena and its own initiatives in the postmodern situation.
