    1. This publication was prompted by the “fruitless discussion” according to the author about the Intelligent Design “hypotheses” that has been recently taking place in Bulgarian academic periodic publications. Penov criticizes specific recent publications and argues in favour of the Intelligent Design which in his opinion is better than the Evolutionism concept, which is based on materialistic determinism. He describes science and religion as two different sectors, which differ due to stemming from various experiences but at the same time they are not contradictory. The author suggests that disputes between science and religion can be solved only through professional philosophy. In science-religion discussions more attention should be paid to main principles in philosophy which excel primitive neo-Darwinian evolutionism. According to Penov the disputes between creationism and evolutionism are not only scientifically outdated but also one-sided from a philosophical point of view.
