   1. Stefan Penov is professor at the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge (at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences). Prof Penov leads the department of religious studies, at the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge. He is a graduate of the Sofia University and the Saint Petersburg State University (majors in philosophy).  Prof. Penov has a number of publications on religious studies and philosophy of religion.
