    1. Bogdan Lubardić (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) is a professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology at the University of Belgrade.

      Lubardić’s research interests include reflection on the relation of religious philosophy and Christian theology, as well as the relation of both of these towards self-referential naturalistically conceived philosophy; reflection on the reception process of philosophical concepts in theology; reflection on the epistemological status of religious propositions; case study work in the history of ideas in religious philosophy and theology (with special interest in Byzantine, Russian and Serbian religious philosophy and theology); thematization of ideas and models of thought in Church doctrine.

       His work also explores the ways in which theological texts or statements can be re-problematized, heremenutically and critically, as well as the ways in which they are received, functionalized ecclesially, and grounded.

      Lubardić also works towards a sustained theological understanding of culture and science.  

      n the period from 2003 to 2005 Lubardić was a member of the Commission of the European Council of Churches (CEC) – "Churches in Dialogue" (CID). In 2009 he became a regular member of the International Commission for the official Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue (ICAOTD). Since 2010 Lubardić is a member of the Executive Board of the Serbian Philosophical Society (SPS) in two mandates where he also acts as the coordinator of the section for the philosophy of religion. He was the chief editor of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology magazine “Bogoslovlje” and was associated with several other scientific and cultural journals.

      He stayed at Mount Atos in the period 1994–1995 studying Greek and translating theological works. Apart from Serbian, he speaks English, Greek

      His areas of research are philosophy of religion, status of philosophy in Patristic theology, the relation between philosophy and theology in the light of their own history, hermeneutical philosophy, phenomenological philosophy, existential philosophy, hermeneutics of the way of reception of ideas and texts in the Church's tradition, the relation between academic-scientific and charismatic-ascetic in theology, the relation between theology and science, the relation between theology and culture, translation and theories of translation.

      He is the author of numerous publications and he has delivered over twenty lectures globally.
