    1. Michael H. Shank is an American science historian.He was Fellow Fulbright-Hays and a member of the Social Science Research Council in 1979-1981, and in the National Science Foundation in 1984 and in 1986-87. He acquired his Bachelor from Goshen Collegein 1971, his Master of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and his PhD from Harvard University in 1983. He was an assistant and associate professor in Harvard University, an assistant professor in Emory University and a Professor in the University of Wisconsin, Madison since 1988. He has written extensively in Medieval Science and Culture. His interests include the physical sciences before 1700 and on late medieval natural philosophy and astronomy.
