Vladimir Vujić (1886, Belgrade – 1951, Rio de Janeiro) is the author of the manifesto “Novi humanizam” (“New Humanism”) in which he ardently criticized the pretensions of science to be the only eligible perspective on the comprehensive view of reality. Following the ideas of Spengler, he realized that the western culture was not able to grasp and provide answers to the hazards such as technology that became autonomous. Subsequently, realizing the growing challenges, in 1920s he became an Orthodox thinker leaning on the religiosity of Dostoevsky and on Saint Savaism.
