    1. Aleksandar Đakovac was born in 1971 in Belgrade. From 2000 to 2005 he worked as a teacher at the Zemun gymnasium. In 2005 he was appointed as an Inspector for Religious Studies of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovac performing this duty until 2012. In 2007 he was promoted to the rank of Presbyterian. Since 2008 he has been working as the Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Theological Views, published by the Holy Archdiocese Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Since 2010 he has been the Editor-in-Chief of Orthodoxy, a gazette of the Serbian Patriarchate.

      In 2012, he started to work at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade, where he defended the doctoral dissertation entitled "Ontology and Ethics in the Light of the Christology of the Holy Maxim the Confessor" in the year 2014. He was elected Assistant Professor at the Department of Systematic Theology in 2015.

      Aleksandar Đakovac is active in the study of the relation between science and religion. He published works with regard to bioethics and theology, and the contemporary Orthodox theology and the modern challenges it is faced with.
