From the author's point of view, Orthodoxy provides man in general, and the scientist, in particular, with the most powerful moral foundation, without which science turns from an instrument of knowledge into an instrument of annihilation. Orthodoxy, which postulates moral and religious dogmas, helps a scientist to understand that there are limits to knowledge for which he does not have the right to intercede. It is only the traditional faith of this or that nation, and in Russian case, it is Orthodoxy that is able to direct the development of science in the direction necessary for humanity and place barriers where these barriers are necessary. Such barriers - dogmas - are necessary for us, people, otherwise we can destroy our own past, and our own present (cloning, artificial intelligence are concrete examples of this), but also the future .
What is the story from the Orthodox point of view? History is a science that reveals the meaning of historical development, and, therefore, the science of how, through knowledge and understanding of the past, to arrange present and future life in the name of eternal life.
