    1. V.I. Kurashov’s article is an attempt to reconstruct the general picture of interconnection of scientific, philosophical and religious teachings in intellectual history of mankind.

       The author believes that in our time the eschatological and ethical aspects of interrelationship between science, philosophy and religion have come so close that this issue should be considered especially as a characteristic phenomenon of the present state of mankind. Technologies have come to an inevitable interaction with philosophical and religious teachings in connection with the eschatological nature of the environmental problem. Without appealing to the philosophical and religious worldview, slogans for preservation of nature and life on Earth do not find convincing grounds from a "purely scientific", or positivistic, point of view.

       With all the modern successes of positive sciences, the most important issues of science, philosophy and religion, i.e. fundamental issues of human knowledge of the world, remained equally the subject of all areas of human knowledge, Kurashov concludes.
