    1. This MA thesis, according the writer, Ioannis Anastasopoulos, is an attempt to approach the importance of the ecological problem through the cosmology of St. Basil the Great in his speeches in Hexaemeros after identify the dimensions of the ecological problem today.

       In Anastasopoulos' opinion, researching the Hexaemeros also seek through the cosmology of the Great Father to highlight ways to solve today the problems caused by the destruction of the environment. Since someone talked about at the beginning in the personality of the great prelate then he dealt with the content of the speeches of the Hexaemeros.

       Accordingly he sought to investigate in more detail the cosmology highlighting the cosmological principles derived through the text of the Hexaemeros. At the same time, he referred to efforts in order to address the ecological problem on the part of the state. Finally, the writer tried to identify the timelessness of the St. Basil the Great of cosmology always through his speeches in Hexaemeros. So to highlight points that can help humanity today to address the risk of ecological disaster. A disaster is not painful only for the environment but for the man himself.
