6. Biographical Data

   1. Georgios Patronos is emeritus professor in the School of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He graduated from the same School, and then he continued his studies at the University of Oxford and the University of Birmingham, the International Mission Center, and the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He took part in missionary work in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. In 1975 he presented his doctoral dissertation, under the title Σχέσις παρόντος καὶ μέλλοντος εἰς τὴν περὶ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ Θεοῦ διδασκαλίαν τῆς Ὀρθοδόξου θεολογίας ('The relation between present and future in the teaching of the Orthodox theology about the kingdom of God'). He taught for many years at the School of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at Rizarios Ecclesiastical School, and at the Higher Ecclesiastical School of Athens. He has published numerous books on theological issues.
