    1. Christos Malevitsis studied economics at the Supreme Economic and Business School of Athens (1946-50). For many years he worked as a civil servant. After serving as director of the National Statistical Service of Greece, he was detached to the Institute of Social Studies in Hague (1960-61), and to the United Nations Office at Geneva, where he pursued his studies at the Institut de hautes études internationales. From 1965 until his death in 1997 he wrote and translated into Greek numerous philosophical texts, and he was frequent contributor of many journals and magazines. His Greek translations include books of Nikolai Berdyaev, Martin Heidegger, and Karl Jaspers.
