Daniel Munteanu (1973) is a Research Assistant at the chair of Protestant Theology in the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg. From 2013, he is also the Professor of Systematic Theology and Ethics at the Valahia University of Targoviste in Romania. After studying Theology at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and Heidelberg University of Ruprecht, he received his Ph.D. at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (2002). His research interests include Public Theology, Eco-Theology, Bio-ethics, medical and social ethics, cultural hermeneutics and ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. He is an editor in the International Journal of Orthodox Theology, and has written more than forty articles, reviews and lexicon articles.
