    1. Father Andrew Louth is a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church and Professor in the Department of Theology and Religion and Orthodox chaplain at the University of Durham in Durham, England. He studied Mathematics and Theology in Cambridge and Edinburgh, and later taught early Christian theology and patristics in the University of Oxford and early Medieval and Byzantine History in the University of London. Andrew Louth has been ordained a priest of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchal Diocese of Sourozh in 2003 and serves a parish in Durham. His interests in research lie mostly in the history of theology in the Greek tradition, especially after the fifth century during the period of the Byzantine Empire to 1453, and in Russian and Romanian Orthodox theology. He has written more than four books and several more book chapters and articles in journals.
