Dr Philip Kariatlis is Academic Director and Senior Lecturer in Theology at St Andrew's. After taking an undergraduate degree in Theology from St Andrew's (1995), he graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Arts (2000). He received a Master of Theology and a doctorate from the Sydney College of Divinity (2001) and later on a PhD in Ecclesiology (2010). His research interest lies in Church doctrine, specifically its existential and salvific character and on Orthodoxy and the environment. He has translated, written and presented several peeer-reviewed articles and books. He is also active in social and digital media, with podcasts and presentations.
