Peter Harisson received his BSc in 1976 from the University of Queensland, followed by a Dip Ed (1977) and a BA (1983) from the same university. in 1985, he received his BA from Yale, followed by a PhD from the University of Queensland in 1989 and another MA from the University of Oxford in 2007. Finally he received a DLitt from Oxford in 2013. He is currently the Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities of the University of Queensland and the Australian laureate Fellow (2015-2019). He has also been the Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion and the Director of the Ian Ramsey Centre in the University of Oxford and a Professor of History and Philosophy at Bond University. Prof. Harisson has published four books, he has edited three collective volumes and has written more than eighty articles in journals, volumes and encyclopedias. His research interests include Early Modern Intellectual History , Science and Religion and the The Bible and Western Though
