Perry T. Hamalis acquired his BA in Philosophy from Boston College in 1992, his M. Div from the Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology in 1996 and his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2004. He is the Cecelia Schneler Mueller Professor of Religion in North Central College since 2011. Prof. Hamalis has published three books and more than thirteen articles. His research interests include Religious Ethics, Politics and Religion, Eastern Orthodox Christian Theology and Ethics and Comparative Asceticism and Mysticism.
