This dissertation is about the emergence of theory of evolution in Greece in the 19th century. The writer, among others, presents the discussion about this theory among the Darvinists and anti-Darwinists. According to the research data, it can not be said that identified periods during which prevailed Darwinian or antidarvinian wing which will be seen from the written sources. A related but distinct fanaticism opponents of the theory is on the one hand mainly religious in its journal "Anaplasis" and less than the other of the followers of the theory of evolution through the magazine "Prometheus". The first though trying to use some scientific arguments, runs the controversy philosophical - social - political arguments however, and the latter are falling into the same trap after being forced to respond to these points. However they clearly classify a more scientifically as much the course allows the scientific level of their time. The characteristic of both the imitation and copying to the Western attitude in addressing the theory. Another feature on the side of anti-Darvinists is to attack not so much against him as against Darwin and Haeckel generally by materialists, who had formulated the theory of spontaneous generation, which is not Darwin attempted. However in many cases Darwinism-Materialism are matching.
