In this article, Sakis Kourouzidis presents the reception of theory of Evolution in Greece from 19th to the end of 20th c. The theory of Evolution introduced in Greece for the first time through the magazine "Hestia", in 1879. Then, the dialog about it took place through a lot of articles in magazines "Prometheus" and "Anaplasis", the first edited by scholars who were followers of Darwin, the second edited by circles around the Church. The dialog was very hard for years among the Christians and the scientists. The writer prasents the main scholars who wrote about the Darwinism and their main works. Among the others, he cites as an example the book The theory of Evolution by A. Pierios, president of Greek-Christian Polity, against the theory of Evolution in 1954,in the political frame of after Civil War Greece.
Sakis Kourouzidis has the opinion that the last 25 years a few dozen books deal with modern problems, and between them ecology, with a quite different way. Of course, there are always thinkers Christians who defend the "humanocentric" conception of the world, with all the effects that entails, but multiply and self-critical voices recognize the need to be seen Christianity's relationship with the scientific concepts.
