George Vlahakis, in this paper, discusses about the critics by Greek orthodox Christian Circles on sciences. He presents a number of papers, which were published in the review Ακτίνες (Aktines) during the Second World War, in 1943-44. Aktines is the official review of Christian Union of Scientists until now. The papers, as for example the one under the title “The exact sciences in Greece and the brought propaganda” written by Sergios Pavlou, accuse the Greek scientists who introduced modern sciences in modern Greek state as materialists. George Vlahakis, using a lot of examples, describe with details the Christian scientists’ perception of modern natural science as materialistic and opposite to Christianity.
