    1. Archbishop Luke (secular name Valentin F. Voyno-Yasenetsky; 1877 - 1961) – a surgeon, professor of medicine and spiritual writer, the Russian Orthodox Church bishop. A winner of the first degree Stalin Prize (1946). Archbishop Luke was a victim of political repression and spent in exile a total of 11 years. He was rehabilitated in April 2000; in August 2000, canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in the host of Russian New Martyrs and Confessors for churchwide veneration; memory day - May 29 (11 June).
