    1. The authors highlight the relevance of the Metropolitan Serafim’s (secular name Leonid M. Chichagov) scientific discoveries. L.M. Chichagov, being a doctor, has developed a unique medical system based on the statement of any medicine effect dose dependence and the need for individual selection of doses.

       Scientific discoveries made by L.M. Chichagov had not been appreciated by medical community for decades and were forgotten. Today, the developing biotechnology constantly increases the range of potential immunomodulators and there is a problem of individual selection of doses. Study of the Chichagov’s medical system may help in solving those problems, according to the authors.
