7. Prof. Georgi Kapriev has a degree in philosophy from Sofia University where he teaches since 1992. He has specialised in institutes in Cologne and Paris. Kapriev has also published a number of books focussing on the medieval Christian philosophy and is a member of the editorial board of Bulgarian-language journal Christianity and Culture. Between 2002 and 2012 he was chairman of the commission for Byzantine philosophy at the International Society for the Study of Medieval Philosophy (SIEPM), based in Leuven, Belgium.
