   1. John Ν. Markopoulos studied Chemical Engineering and Physical Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany and at Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. Professor of Technology and Philosophy of Technoscience in the Department of Primary Education of the Faculty of Education in the University of Thessaloniki where he taught philosophy and ethics of science and technology, technological development and current debates. By April 2010 he taught also as Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering in the relevant University. He has written and translated books and he has published scientific papers in international journals in the fields of chemical engineering, physical chemistry, philosophy and ethics of science and technology.
