    1. Lyubov Soskovets was born on December 5, 1956 in the Tomsk Region. In 1979, Soskovets graduated from the history department of Tomsk State University (TSU) with a degree in History and Pedagogy of History and Social Science. She then worked as a secretary of the Komsomol Committee, first in the Technical School №18 in Tomsk (1979-1981), then in the Tomsk Pedagogical College. In 1988, Soskovets entered graduate school at the Tomsk State University, and in 1991 she defended her thesis on the topic of "Anti-religious activity of party organizations in Western Siberia in the 1950s". Soskovets then worked first as assistant chair of history of the CPSU (subsequently renamed the Department of Political History), then as a senior lecturer. In 1998, she was awarded the academic title of associate professor. In 2002-2004, she studied as a doctoral student at the Tomsk State University, defending her thesis on "The religious denominations of Western Siberia in 1940-1960s." Soskovets was awarded a PhD in Historical Sciences in 2005. She currently works a Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor of History and Regional Studies at the Tomsk Polytechnic University.
