Rolan Kiladze (1931-2010) was a noted Georgian astronomer. He received his Physics Diploma (1955) and his PhD (1962) from the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He taught in the same university from 1962 until his death. He was a member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences as well as numerous other scientific organizations and journals’ boards. His research interests included the origin, formation and movement of solar system bodies.
