Susan S. D'Amato received her BSc in Physics from Furman University (1977) and her MSc on Chemistry (1979) and PhD in Physics (1984) from the University of South Carolina. She has been a professor in Furman University from 1984. D'Amato is also a faculty associate for Furman's Center for Vocational Reflection. Her research interests include quantum theory, observational astronomy and science-humanities dialogue.
