    1. Daniel Buxhoeveden received his BA in Philosophy from the SUNY in Stony Brook in 1976. He then received a MA in Biological Anthropology from the University of Chicago in 1978 and JD in Law from Loyola University in 1984. In 1993 he was awarded his PhD in Biological Anthropology from the University of Chicago. In 1995, he was the McDonnell-Pew Cognitive Science Fellow in the University of California, San Diego. He is currently Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Anthropology, University of South Carolina. Daniel Buxhoeveden has been a member of the European Society for Study of Science and Theology, of the Orthodox Theological Society in America, of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, of the Society for Neuroscience and of American Association of Physical Anthropologists. His research interests include the comparative anatomy of the primate cortex, the relations of Orthodoxy and Science and Orthodox theology. He has published more than twenty five peer-reviewed papers, and has co-authored and edited five books.
