The Very Reverend Michael Butler, Ph.D. is an archpriest of the Orthodox Church in America. He has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Dallas in 1983, an M.A. in theology from the University of Dallas in 1986, and a Ph.D. in church history and patristics from Fordham University in 1988. He has served parishes for more than 20 years in Michigan and Ohio. He taught as an adjunct professor in the religion department of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and currently works with the late vocations program for his diocese training men for diaconal ministry.
