Alexei Edward Bodrov, was born on November 5, 1960 in Moscow, Russia. He received a Master of Science from Moscow Institute Physics and Technology in 1982 and a PhD from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow in 1989. He was certified from Balliol College, Oxford, 1994. He has worked as Research scientist in the Institute for Chemical Physics in Moscow from 1982 to 1992, as the Executive director of the Open Orthodox University from 1992—1995 and as editor of the Bible Society in Russia from 1994—1995. He is the founder and Rector of the St. Andrew's Biblical Theological College, Moscow, since 1995. Prof. Bodrov ’s has been the editor of several book series and has written many articles on Theology, Culture and Education. He has been the recipient of a Templeton Prize.
