    1. Daniel Brannan is a professor of biology at Abilene Christian University in Texas. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of New Mexico in 1975 a master's degree in microbiology from the Ohio State University in 1977 , and a doctorate in microbial ecology and physiology from University of New Mexico in 1981. He worked as a research scientist for Procter & Gamble until 1988 and since then has taught freshmen biology, microbiology, behavioral biology, sociobiology, and biostatistics at ACU. He has also studied science and theology interactions at Calvin College with Phil Clayton (summer, 2001) and at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University with Ernan McMullin as mentor (summers, 2003-2005). He has attended the Faraday course at Cambridge, and many Ian Ramsey conferences and presentations at Oxford. Daniel Brannan has published more than 30 scientific papers and chapters in books, and presented more than 50 invited lectures, abstracts, and workshops at international and national meetings. He was the editor of the first practical handbook establishing microbiology of consumer products as a field of microbiology, Cosmetic Microbiology: A Practical Handbook (CRC Press). His research interests have included philosophy of science, particularly the interface of science and religion, microbial ecology, general biology and behavioral biology.
